  We bought our first High Sierra showerhead in January 2014, and six months later, added a second for another bathroom. This showerhead is unlike any other on the market - it's based on a sprayer for golf greens, rather than on a traditional showerhead design. It has a single large opening out of which the water just blasts, in large, heavy, high-energy droplets, rather than a set of small pinholes ("jets") like traditional showerheads. (It makes its spray by splitting the water into two streams via a pin, and then slamming them back together.) As a result: the spray is, well, amazing - energizing and comfortable, with no gaps in coverage. It doesn't sting, it doesn't mist, it just "blasts" - like spray off an overhead rock at a waterfall. Even at 1.5 gallons per minute, a full 40% less than the standard 2.5 gpm showerhead we replaced, it feels better than the old head. And unlike our old one, whose exit holes and the small holes in its flow restrictor (a small disc inside the showerhead) would clog up, this one hasn't clogged yet. Also, this one is so solidly built - brass and stainless steel, with the only plastic part being a thick focusing collar of ABS plastic near the exit - that I'm hoping it will last a lot longer than our other, plastic showerheads. We'll see, but so far, so good! I've recommended this one to co-workers and friends and so far, everyone who's tried it likes it - a lot.
